(Athletics zones)

Hi everyone,

In this blog post I will tell you my story of what we did in athletics zones.

So we went on a bus at 8:30 in the morning to travel in Nga Puna Wai sport hub to do our athletics zones. So we went on a small hill to place our two gazebo and place all our bags on the hill. The first activity our school did was year 5 and 6 girls relay. I forgot what place they come but I'm pretty sure they did amazing. And then it's the year 5 and 6 turn to do the relay. I think the year five did pretty good and the year 6 came first. Then it was 60 metre sprint for year 6's and 5's. One of my friend from my school came first. And then another 80 metre sprints for the year 5's and year 6's. And then we had another round for 80 metre sprints for the final. After that it was 6's and 5's 1000 metres long distance.

Then it was my turn to do discus so I stretched to warm up my body. In my first trow I was disqualified because I went over the line. The second trow was okay this time I didn't went over the line. And then the last trow was great it made me to 4th place.

It was really fun doing athletics zones I know I can do better in discus next time.

congratulations to does who participated in athletics zones.(:

Writing (What I want to be when I grow up)

Hello everyone,

In this blog post I will show you what we have been learning and doing at writing. We are learning to Be fluent writers and write about ourselves and quickly organise our writing.

So we were writing about what we want to be when we grow up and why. Our challenge was to Have an intro which includes what are we doing, what are we going to write about or what we want to be when we grow up. Our body needs to include what we know about our future job, what inspired you to want that job, what are you doing now to improve your chances of doing that job, do you have any experience with that job and why you think you would be good at that job. And our conclusion.

Then we had to extend our writing by answering more questions.

I didn't finish my writing because I had to get my clothes for zones.

Here is my writing:
I want to be a policeman in the future because I want to serve, protect the community and save people’s lives.

I know that policeman arrest bad people. Policeman check the scene of the crime. And check if people are drunk. I know that policeman wore protective suits and carry accessories around their belts when their solving a problem. Also policeman needs to enter police college before to become a police officers. They need to complete the police training course which involve 16 weeks of training. You have to be at least 17 years old. Have a full driver’s licence. Be a New Zealand or australian citizen or permanent resident. There are a lot of types being a policeman. There is police chief, police officer, detective, crime scene investigator, evidence technician, victim advocate, school resource officers. Police officers wore different types of badges.

I got inspired by my Mum’s cousin who is in the military and the other actions movies that I watched.

I am improving of getting that job because I am a trusted trekker at school and I help other people when their hurt and when they're in a bad situation or their emotions are hurt.

I have experience it once when I went to the police station and went inside a police car. I also had an opportunity to test out a radar gun which scans the speed of the car.

I think that job will be right for me because I like saving people’s lives and people appreciating me. I like making people's emotions and feelings happy. I like to communicate with other people and solving the problems. Also I like to make life better no fighting and no crimes.

Please leave a comment so you can help my learning. If your a kid what do you wan't to be when you grow up?(:

The best weekend!

Hi guys,

Welcome back to my blog. So in my weekend at Sunday I wen't to my best friends house. They invited me for a pool party.

First my friend wanted to show me to play on his computer. His room is very fantastic because he has two computer one for him and one for her sister. We played his favourite game and had lots of fun. After we had hours of playing it was time to swim in their pool. As I step into their big pool it was really cold. They had lots of water guns and googles in their pool to play with. As we were staying in the pool we felt the water is getting warm. Me, my best friend and my best friend sister played water fights with water guns. My best friend was cheating because he grabbed the hose. It was really cold now so we wen't inside.

After we swam in their pool it was time to eat lunch. Their food was amazing they had crispy pork. Then my best friend wanted to play on his computer again. But then me and his sister was getting board so we wen't in their trampoline. My best friend sister was talented because she can do a hand stand and she's young.

We went inside and then ate ice cream. Then last of all we came back inside and played with Gumbear the dog. He is a boy, he is really cute because when he turn on his back it means I can scratch it.

It was really fun going in my best friend house I wish I have does things that my best friend house at my house.

Please leave a comment if you enjoy my long story of my weekend!

(Character study of the Grump)

Kamusta viewers,

In this blog post I will show you the writing that we have done when are teacher wasn't there at school.

We were working on character study of the grump. We had a special word that spell spiles. S stand for social, P stand for physical, I stand for intellectual, L stand for language, E stand for emotion and S stand for spiritual. Our challenge was to write about the grump and include those special words.

It was fun doing this challenge because I have learnt something new and the key stuff to write about a character.

Here is my work:

S -Social
P-Physical
I-Intellectual
L-Language
E-Emotions
S-Spiritual

The grumps is socially evil, punish other people and always being angry. He is a loner and a useless person. He has a big stomach but tall body. He walks like a wobbly stuffed toy with a broken leg.  He looks really old. He physically wore suits that looks really strict. He has a cane to whip people out of his way. He has a hat that looks like a magician. He looks really old but has black hair. He is smart at beating up people and at writing. He speaks inappropriate language with an british accent. His emotions are sad when he doesn’t punish people but feels happy when hurt someone. His spiritual  doesn’t believes in god and doesn’t trust god.

Please leave comment if you enjoy my blog post. Have you done this writing before?

Weekly problem solving week 5!

Kia ora, mai nga kaipanuiki taku rangitaki (Hi readers welcome back to my blog)

Today this topic will be about maths.

In maths we have been learning to show your thinking by recording each steps.

Our task was to solve problems using equals adjustments which means when you add something you have to take away the same number. And then we have to show our thinking with these problems. 33+57, 76+39, 264+79, 762+119, 357+448.

It is also important to show you working out because when you mess up you could lookup on your working out and know where your mistakes are. So you can show the proof that you have done it.

I was confident doing this task because I had different techniques to solve the problems.

Here is my maths work:
Please leave a comment if you enjoy my blog. Have you ever solve maths problem with working out? Have a amazing day(:

Weekly word guess the word means (Not being brought into focus)

Hi bloggers,

Welcome back into your favourite blog. Today's topic is another weekly word and I will tell you our weekly word and what we do in weekly word.

Our weekly word is unfocused and its another word for getting distracted. This word is so hard to spell because I kept getting mix up with confused rather than unfocused. It is really nice to do weekly word because it gives us more knowledge in our vocabulary.

First the first task we do in our weekly word is what I/you think of the word means. Then write the  dictionary definition of the word. The last task was to create your own sentence and never copy from any website or someone else.

Here is my weekly word:

Please leave a comment if you enjoy my blog post. Make sure to leave comment and a comment needs to have a positive, thoughtful and helpful comment. Have you every used this word before in your writing? Have a great day(:
