arts and poetry! (Poem)

Ciao viewers,

Welcome back to your favourite blogger. In today's blog post I will show you what we have been doing in arts and poetry at school.

This term at school we have been learning poems, hyperbole, alliteration, personification, simile and metaphor. So our teacher gave us a task to refresh our brain from what we are learning. We had to choose a picture and write the hyperbole, alliteration, personification, simile and metaphor for it. and then after that we choose one of the poems that we are learning this term. The poems that we learnt this term is Rhyming, Haiku, Cinquain and limerick. 'I picked Haiku because for starting'

Rhyme poem starts with an alphabet which is 'A' and then if your last word of your second sentence doesn't rhyme then you switch to another alphabet word which is 'B'.

Haiku poem is very easy on your first sentence you need to have 5 syllables at the at the second sentence you need to have 7 syllables, and the third sentences needs to be 5 again.

Cinquain poem needs to start with a title then add 2 descriptive words at the second sentence, at the third sentence add three descriptive words, the fourth sentence needs to have a about the tittle and the fifth sentence you need to write a synonym for the title.

Limerick first sentence needs to start with a character, and then next sentence is about a problem, then the third sentence is a plot development and the last part is to summary the story.

Maths! Mean, Median, Range and Mode

Hello guys,

Welcome back to my blog. In this blog post I will show you what we have been doing in maths this term.

So in maths we have been learning an interesting topic, but I don't really know what you call the topic. But I just call it Mean, Median, Range and Mode. Our task was to choose 4 to 6 people in a group and calculate it with our sprints data.

What does Mean, Median, Range and mode mean:
Mean is when you plus all you numeracy together and divide it by 6's.
Median is when you cross the lowest number and the highest, plus the second lowest and the second highest and then divide them by 2's
Range is a different elementary arithmetic because it's takeaways, you cross the lowest number and the highest, take away the second highest and lowest.
Mode is the easiest one to do. You just have to find a numeracy matching together.

Here is my work:
Sprints time!
Shadrach:

Mean, 7+7+18+22=54÷6=9

Median, 7,7,18,22=25÷2= 12.5

Range, 7+7+18+22=18-7=16

Mode, =7
M.J.

Mean, 5+6+15+17=43÷6=42.5

Median, 5,6,15,17=22÷2=11

Range, 5+6+15+17=15-6=9

Mode, 5,6,15,17= no mode
Joseph:

Mean, 5+6+14+15=40÷6= 6r4

Median, 5,6,14,15=20÷2=10

Range, 5+6+14+15=14-6=8

Mode, 5,6,14,15= no mode
Tutoe:

Mean, 5+7+13+15= 40÷6=6r4

Median, 5,7,13,15= 20÷2=10

Range, 5+7+13+15=13-7=6

Mode, 5,7,13,15=no mode

Stem Leaf Long jump and heart beats.

Hello amazing readers,

Welcome back to my blog. In this blog post I will share you what we have been doing in maths, sharing how to create the project.

In maths we have been working on measurements and graphs. Our task was to measure our distance of long jump. The second task was to measure your heart beats while your resting and then measure your heart beats when you run. Then we made our own stem leaf graph.

The stem is the numbers on the left and the leaf is the only number that is left over on the right. And by the way for the stem only include the numbers you needed.

How to make a stem leaf graph: If your doing it on a device make 2 table to separate the stem and leaf. and for paper make a cross but the horizontal is a bit on the left. Image result for stem leaf
Here is my stem leaf on device:

Kowhaiwhai patterns!

Hello everyone,

Welcome back to my blog. So in art we have been making Kowhaiwhai patterns. I am going to share you my finish work of my Kowhaiwhai patters.

Kowhaiwhai patters are beautiful patterns with amazing shapes and colours.

We had Aroha, Whakapono and Tumanaako. Aroha means love, Whakapono means faith and trust and tumanaako is hope. I picked aroha because it's a special word for me. And we had to choose from an a4 piece of paper or an a3 paper. I choosed a4 because i'm not a good artist. Also we can only use black and red colours.

Here is my finish work:

My Weekend!

Welcome back viewers,

So for today blog post is me going to share my weekend story. As you guys don't know I have another baby brother and was raised this year. His name is Zayne and he is a citizenship here in New Zealand. His already past one month so we decided to bond and walk around our streets.

I was biking, my brother was pushing the pram and our parents were chatting while walking. My little brother fell asleep in the pram so we had to be quite. As we stopped in our destination I asked my brother "can I have a turn pushing the pram"? And he said "No. We were arguing as we were walking because my brother didn't let me have a turn. I felt like a volcano interrupting with magma dripping down my body. I realised something and bet it to my brother. When I said my bet he gave me the pram to me. And I gave my bike to my dad, but then he was still holding the pram at the front. I kept telling him to take his hands off but he didn't listen. He was like the most annoying person in the world.  But then as we were going to cross the street my dad wanted to push the pram I gave it to him and swapped with my bike again so me and my brother don't argue anymore.
