Philippines independence week!

Welcome back to my blog. In this blog post, I will share your facts about the Philippines.

This week we are celebrating the Philippines independence week. We had independence week because it was marked by the Spanish on June 12, 1898.  And Emilio Aguinaldo was the one who waved the flag to a sign of victory. He waved it on Sunday Hapon (Afternoon) on 12th of June 1898 in Kawit Cavite. Doctor Jose Rizal is another hero of the philippine because he was the one who had lots of knowledge and shared the history of the Philippines. He was also a doctor and lots of things he knew. Andres Bonifacio was also a hero because he was the one who founded the Katipunan (secret society) and led the attack on the Spanish. And he led the Philippines republic. Apolinario Mabini was the first prime minister in the Philippines. He was a leader, educator, and lawyer. Del Pilar was a writer and was the one who assembled a group of troops to fight against the Spanish. Muhammad Dipatuan Kudarat is a hero because he fought the Spanish successfully and spread Roman catholicism in Mindanao. General Juan was another hero because he was a commander; he was a very expert and strategist in the military. And made him a successful military. Melchora Aquino was the girl who supported the Katipunan with rice and foods and she also nursed the wounded Katipuneros.

National dance:

Tinikling is one of the philippines national dances. The dance involves 2 people beating and tapping. It includes 2 bamboo sticks that slide on the ground and against each other. Also it has to be a boy and a girl.

National game:

Arnis is the national sport of the Philippines. It involves hand to hand combat and trying to eliminate the person. It includes 1 stick trying to execute the person. And there are different types of it and how they are called. Also, it’s different to use.
