Breaking our project of sedimentary rocks!!!

Hello everyone,

Welcome back to my blog, on this blog post I will show you about breaking our sedimentary rocks outside our class, and tell you about sedimentary rocks.

We are learning about Minerals and rocks - earth science 
Sedimentary rocks are soft, can have more than one layer and sedimentary rocks turns into metamorphic rock through heat and pressure. 

When I took out my sedimentary rocks out of my container. I saw lots of colour and patterns that the rocks and the shells made. I also barely saw the different colour of the sedimentary rocks layer. 

The layers aren't really made out of minerals, it was just food colouring and then the flour mix with sand and mixed it with water. 

When I was breaking my sedimentary rocks bits and pieces breaks and fall out. "It really made a big mess. When I was touching my sedimentary rock it was very floury. 

We also had a partner to help us video us when breaking the sedimentary rocks.

(Descriptive Writing)

Hello readers,

Welcome back to my blog, on this blog I am going to share about what we did for our writing. 

First thing that we had to do is to find our partner that our teacher already did for us. After we picked a partner we had to solve a sentence and put it into a describing sentences.  Describing sentences means adding a detail that describe something and powerful words. 

Our teacher already made a sentence for us and we just have to put it into describing sentence. For example the cushion had a nice soft smooth feeling touch. 

Me and my partner help each other to help with our describing sentence to solve it.

Here is what I did and my partner did to our writing:

I was going to my friends party and my dad was going to drop me off at the,
party but then he fell asleep.

(The party had disgusting smells of food that smells like rotten eggs.
The party had horrible smells but my useless dad slept and forgot to pick,
me up).

I smell the smoke coming out of the uber drivers car.

[The smoke smelled like gasoline and dash coming out from the yellow,
car with black stripes on the front, on top and the back.]

Room 6's special assembly!

Talofa Lava everyone, happy Samoan language week, and welcome back to my blog. 

We had our assembly last week on Friday.  It was a special assembly and the best assembly that we done. Because our classroom designed it together as a class with our knowledge to get ideas.

We made a play about our first day in High school because we are going to high school next year. There are an antagonist and a protagonist in the story. Protagonist means the good guy/ main character and the antagonist is a bad guy/ villain. 

The part that I liked in the story was when the protagonist spoiled water all over her shirt. Then the antagonist said bad stuff to her and pushed her. Then another protagonist came and she was being an up stander and help her out. 

We also did a speech to our sport manager teacher because. She spent all of her lunchtime and her morning tea for giving out uniform. And we gave a pack of her favourite coffee.

Our first game of winter sport

Hi,

Everyone welcome back to my blog. Today I talk about our first winter sport. 

There are 4 sports in winter sorts and it is football, netball, hockey and rugby. 

For winter sport I played football because I used to play football but then I liked basketball.

There are two teams in football, hockey, rugby, and on netball they have four teams.

We had two teams in our football team there are Hornets and Hurricane. I was in the hurricane team with my friend.

We were versing south Hornby for football.

We did amazing in our first game of football. We scored 7 goals and south Hornby had 1 goal. My friend scored 6 and I scored 1 goal. 

But the bad thing happened is I got injured. I got hit on the face, on my thigh and kicked with the football boots on the foot.

100 word count challenge!!!

Welcome to my blog, today in my blog I'm going to show you my 100 word count challenge. 

It was one of my teacher challenge us to only use simple, yellow, bread, fancy and uniform words. And only up to 100 words. We had to make sure no mistake are in our writing and that make sense. 

Have you ever done a 100 word count challenge?

My story was about I was getting bullied. 

It was very difficult to do the 100 word count challenge because we had to write with those words and only up to 100 words. 

Here is my 100 word count challenge:

Going to school!!!

I was going to school with my fancy yellow uniform. With a swag slick back haircut that has a lightning bolt on the side of my head.

 It was lunchtime people kept making fun of me and throwing paper at my head. They kept pushing me and bullying me.

Then suddenly the bell ring and I saw a piece of simple bread that my mum made for me in my lunchbox. The spread of it was only plain cheese.

Then the bullies came to me and poured water on my head.

The bell ring again and it was home time.

Basketball Friday night! (Rams vs Sharks)

Hi everyone, 

So me and my family wen't to a basketball competition, it was Rams vs the Sharks. 

I saw lots of my best friends that is in my school and one of my teacher aid that came to watch. 

The rams were raft at the first half because they kept missing their shots. But in all the half time they managed to come back and beat the sharks. 

The score was I think 75 and 35 the Rams had 75 points and the sharks had 35 points.(Yay the Rams win!!!

And the things that we got lucky to do is to speak on the mic and say LET"S GO RAMS. 

Me and my friends keep shouting "LETS GO RAMS" and "DEFEND". My voice and my friends voice was almost gone we felt like were going to vomit. But we went down stairs and drink water.

We visit Hornby High school. (Only year 6s)

Hi everyone,

Welcome back to my blog, On May 12 we went to visit high school but it was only year 6s people, 

They were are school, Wigram primary school, Yaldhurst school and south hornby school. 

We went to all the area but not the new building because is still under contractions. But we saw the cafeteria, library and the gym. 

The first thing that we did is visit the year 7s and 8 classroom. Then after that we did an experiment in the science lab. The science teacher did an experiment about putting a chemical into the Bunsen and burner then it light on because he turn off the Bunsen burner. 

And then after we did an experiment we look at geology area. 

After we look at the geology part it was the exciting part but it is a little scary. It was a electric box. So my two brave classmate holds the wire then if we connected our hands it gives a little shocks. But if we realise our hands it won't work. And when the scientist teacher spins it faster it hurts more. 


And the last sessition was in the gym playing ball tag rush. He explained the rules, the rules was when he called aomething for example like if your wearing red shoes you have to run. And they are four tagers. When you hit the player they are in with us. And when you trow the ball it has to be bellow the waist.

Cyber smart!!!

Welcome back to my blog, so in this blog post I will tell you something that we did in school.

In school we learnt about cyber smart it means like not sharing your password. 

So our challenge is to make a video about cyber smart to our mum and dad. 

Cyber smart is being smart about what you are doing online. 

The important things that you should never tell anyone. For example do not share your password to anyone, do not tell where you live to a stranger, do not tell where you work/school and do not tell your credit card number and your passport to anybody that you don't know.

(Lost Boy) writing in chill time.

Welcome back again to my blog, So in this blog post I will show you my writing in my chill time.

I will explain what we do in chill time. In chill time we can had three different option we can read, write and relax and also be quite because it's chill time. You have to imagine that you are in a library so it can be quite. 

So in chill time I chose writing and I wrote about this boy getting lots in the forest and a creatures freak him out. 

Here is my story about the lost boy:

I was in the dark creepy forest puffing so loud because I was followed by an enormous creature.

The trees were different it had green stem and brown lives.

My heart was beating so fast like a cheetah, my lips were dry, I can’t feel my legs, my arms and my ears were super red.

I had lots of bruises and wound all over my body.

I heard lots of noise from the trees and in the bushes.

Suddenly I heard a roar sound just like fifteen metres away from me near the bushes.

I saw footprints facing in my direction it look like, it had small tiny foot. It looks it had three claws on its foot.

So I followed the footprints, when I was walking to the footprints. I heard lots of creepy noises, I was creep out I was shaking so bad like I feel that I was in Antarctica. It made me have goosebumps.

"Happy Birthday To Me"

Hi everyone,

So in this blog post I will tell you what I did in my birthday. 

So I just turn 11 years old,  in my birthday we ate in a restaurant and my grandma made some delicious food for me to eat. 

After we ate in a restaurant I waited two days so I can buy my present.

My present was a pet bird, budgie it was the best present ever. My budgie was a male and my brother budgie was a female so they don't be lowly. 

We bought the Gage and lots of accessories for the budgie. 

It was pretty expensive the total was $200plus from all the exorcise and the budgie. 

My budgie name was Buddy and my brother's name was daisy. They were so cute the colour of my brother's budgie was all green. And my budgie's colour was light blue and grey.

We also put some water, food and the vegetable in the cage.

Sedimentary Rocks!

Konichiwa everyone,

Welcome back to my blog so in school we learnt about different kids of rocks. Like sedimentary rocks and igneous rocks.  

We made a experiment of the sedimentary rocks. We only made the first layer of it. 

We made it out with sand then mix it with water after we mixed it with water with add some little rocks. 

I will tell you facts about sedimentary rocks:

• So sedimentary rocks have three layers on them. 
• Sedimentary rocks can be used for chalk.
• When sedimentary rocks stayed in the river for long time and they get washed of to the beach and remove sand from them. 
• They are different names for sedimentary rocks, sandstone and limestone. 
• Sedimentary rocks is made from grains of sand that scrunched together. 
• Sedentary rocks is from the fossilised remains in the ocean life from the old animals that got extinct. 
• Sedimentary rocks is soft that any small animals can make a whole on them. 
• Sedimentary rocks are formed of the mineral quarts or any rocks.

Life Education Trust (Harold challenge)

Hello,

laddies and gentleman Welcome back to my blog. Today I will show you what I have done for my Harold challenge that our teacher made for us.

The girl who teaches us was Siobhan 

So in the question of our Harold challenge were the things that we learnt from Life Education Trust. 

So in Harold we learnt about what is a boss and a leader. A leader is the one who helps their group and communicate with them. And a boss is the one who point to the direction and doesn't help the group. And then we watch two short films about aliens were all about the same and a boy kicks a soccer ball and fell over. Then his friend put it online and lots of people comment negative stuff.

After that we chose what are self like their were Lance the Lion, chewy the Beaver, giggle the otter and the golden retriever.

Lance the lion was Bossy, confident and loud. Then the chewy the Beaver was Honest, clever and perseverance. A golden retriever always listen, helpful and kind.  

We had two answer what we were like so I was a mix of a golden Retriever and a Otter. 

And then we picked three words that describe our self from the wall that had words on it.  

Also we had to know the meaning of a by stander and a up stander. 

An up stander is someone who fix the problems and a bystander is someone who doesn't care when someone is fighting.
